The second reason we do not use polyurethane is the b pillar always sees the sun, dirt, rain etc. Clear polyurethane, doesn't matter how high quality it is fades in these conditions. Even your own clear coat on your car fades over time. The Polyurethane clear coat once exposed to the sun has a lifetime of one year before it starts losing color.
